Jon Arnold and interesting research results

Jon Arnold's Blog is a regular read for me. I tell ya, the Canadians are getting more and more active in the VoIP Blogosphere!!

In his post on some marketing research data, some very interesting points are made:

-Cell Phone growth is more about video and data than voice.
Couple this point with Ted Wallingford's prediction of a VoIPod, and I think there's merit!

-Triple Play is really going to be about mobility.
Finally, folks are understanding and speaking to something more than the same old 'Voice, Video, Data' story.

-
Third party mobile payment services will flourish
Not sure about this one. I think the micro-payment and MNO's sleeping with VISA/MasterCard is not going to take off, but who knows.....

-
BPL will help bring broadband to rural America
Jon put it best in his post - "Nothing new there.."

-
RBOC's path to IP is happening in stages and will take time
This should be should be in the "master of the obvious" category. RBOCs = slow? SHOCK! ;)
